Important Forms

There are some forms that need to be completed and returned to your Programme Manager before you start your course.  You can provide these on your welcome day or during induction.  If you are under 18 then you must ask your parent or guardian to complete these with you and sign them.

They can be completed online but please remember to save them on your own computer before you complete them.

Code of Conduct

You will joining an exciting new community when you join the college.  Like the communities we live in, we need to work together to be successful and live within our fundamental British values.  The aim of the code of conduct is to promote an environment in which the rights and responsibilities of each individual can be met.

Advancing to College

As your school life is coming to a close your next adventure awaits you.  ​Starting college can be a wonderful and exciting experience, but it can also bring its own unique challenges. It's natural to feel nervous or overwhelmed during the first few weeks of college, and it can be a while before you feel like you've found your feet.  Here at Duchy Stoke Climsland we want to support you on this journey, before you have even joined us as a student.  This is why we have created a course just for you, to be able to get to know the campus, including a virtual tour, the staff and even better you will even have your own opportunity to tell us exactly what you expect from us!

English and Maths

All students will be developing their English and Maths skills when they study with us.  These are really important skills for all subjects and for our future careers and personal development.  For some students who do not already have a grade 4 at GCSE, this will mean completing lessons to get a qualification which might be GCSE or Functional Skills.   If you already have a grade 4 at GCSE then you will still develop your skills in your main course lessons. 

Work Experience

We are the career college and we will be preparing you for your future careers.  Part of this will be experiencing the workplace and the jobs you are interested in.  There are a few ways in which you might experience this such as work experience, work placements, industry placements and opportunities to talk to relevant employers. You will also develop your employability skills and have some career education which will help you with finding and getting a job and being successful in your future workplace.
