Summer Activities
The main task for the summer will be thinking of ideas for your final year project. The year will go a lot smoother if there are some ideas at the start of term.
This idea should:
Be practical in terms of equipment, finances, ethics and legal issues.
Be achievable within the remaining time within the module.
Have sufficient scope for an Honours Project (<10,000 words).
Have some uncertainty for a good literature review to refine the idea.
Have a question/hypothesis to prove/disprove (possibly not formulated yet).
Result in new information/data which supports the examination of the question.
Have good scope for critical analysis and critical evaluation.
Provide opportunity to produce something worth showing to people (this is technically not required but may be the most important for the future).
