Joining Instructions
Welcome to our returning students on the BSc (Hons) Computing Technologies course, a 1 year top full time program that takes you from the FdSc upto a full honours degree.
As you are familiar with the college just arrive at 9am on the Thursday 21st September 2023 and we will take things from there.
The main task for the summer will be thinking of ideas for your final year project. The year will go a lot smoother if there are some ideas at the start of term.
This idea should:
Be practical in terms of equipment, finances, ethics and legal issues
Be achievable within the remaining time within the module
Have sufficient scope for an Honours Project (<10,000 words)
Have some uncertainty for a good literature review to refine the idea
Have a question/hypothesis to prove/disprove (possibly not formulated yet)
Result in new information/data which supports the examination of the question
Have good scope for critical analysis and critical evaluation
Provide opportunity to produce something worth showing to people (this is technically not required but may be the most important for the future)
