Subject: Applications to Officiate - Swim England National Winter Championships (25m) 2019

Applications are now open to officiate at the Swim England National Winter Championships, to be held from Thursday 5th to Sunday 8th December 2019 (inclusive) at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre, Sheffield.

 

All applicants must be qualified to at least Judge Level 1 and must possess a current official’s licence.

Please note that appointments are made on a daily, not sessional, basis and you may be required to undertake any role for which you are qualified.

 

Whilst not compulsory, Swim England strongly encourage room sharing at national events. Please indicate on your application if you are happy share a room and, if applicable, include the name of the person you would like to share with. If you indicate that you are happy to share but no second person is named then you will be allocated a twin room with a person of the same gender.

 

For this event:

·        Accommodation will be at the Crowne Plaza Royal Victoria, Sheffield on a bed and breakfast basis.

·        Accommodation will be provided from the night prior to the first day of appointment until the final day of appointment.

·        Officials wishing to arrange their own accommodation and claim the cost back must have this agreed IN ADVANCE by the Event Officer.

·        Lunch arrangements will be confirmed nearer the time – either lunch will provided at the venue or individuals will be able to submit a claim subject to a daily allowance and on production of receipts.

·        Claims can be made for evening meals and drinks (maximum of one standard alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage) up to the value of £15 per night of overnight accommodation. In all instances, receipts must be submitted, with all expenses being claimed clearly highlighted. Expenses will only be reimbursed subject to the value of itemised receipts.

·        Mileage is reimbursed at £0.45 per mile. Volunteers staying overnight in the hotel provided will be reimbursed for one return journey from their home address. Volunteers travelling daily to the venue will be reimbursed for one return journey per day of volunteering.

·        Standard class public transport will be reimbursed on presentation of a receipt with the expenses form.

·        All expenses will be paid post event by BACS. At the end of the event, expenses may be submitted to the Events Officer on site or alternatively these can also be posted to the Events Team, marked for the attention of the Events Officer, using the expenses form which will be provided in advance. Receipts must be submitted with all expenses being claimed, except mileage. Expenses will only be reimbursed subject to the value of the itemised receipts

 

Swim England and Swim Wales members should apply using the online system – guidance notes.  Please take note of the action required if your licence expires between now and the date of the event.
