    • Essentials for College

    • This section will provide details of essential information about your college experience, including the things you will complete and learn alongside your main subjects

College and your education are more than just learning one subject.  There are lots of other skills you will be developing to help your future career and personal development.

    • Important Forms

    • Some forms need to be completed and returned to your Programme Manager before you start your course.  You can provide these on your welcome day or during induction.  If you are under 18, then you must ask your parent or guardian to complete these with you and sign them.

They can be completed online, but please remember to save them on your computer before you complete them.

    • Please note: This form will be completed with the student once enrolled and with an understanding of the spaces they will be using on campus.  Parents should review this information too.

    • Maths and English

    • All students will be developing their Maths and English skills when they study with us.  These are really important skills for all subjects and our future careers, and personal development.  For some students who do not already have a grade 4 GCSE, this will mean completing lessons to get a qualification, which might be GCSE or Functional Skills.   If you already have a grade 4 GCSE, then you will still develop your skills in your main course lessons.

    • Work Experience

    • We are the Career College, and we will be preparing you for your future careers.  Part of this will be experiencing the workplace and the jobs you are interested in.  There are a few ways in which you might experience this, such as work experience, work placements, industry placements and opportunities to talk to relevant employers. You will also develop your employability skills and have some career education, which will help you with finding and getting a job and being successful in your future workplace.
